Brake cooling system to be allowed at Imola

Friday, 4 May 2018 13:37 GMT

The mechanism will also be authorised for Donington Park and potentially future races

The upcoming Italian and UK Rounds will see the addition of a small but significant change to the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship machines. Starting at the Italian venue, teams and riders will be allowed to use front brake cooling duct systems. These ducts will ensure that brake systems are kept at a stable temperature at all times, guaranteeing an optimal performance throughout the weekend.

Teams will also be able to use the parts at Donington Park Circuit. After the UK weekend, the effectiveness of the mechanism will be reviewed for future uses.
